March 24 (Saturday) - West Rutland Marsh Monitoring Walk

A monthly bird monitoring walk. To date 155 species, from Least Bittern to Northern Shrike, have been recorded at this Important Bird Area (IBA). Join us for the 3.7 mile loop around the marsh (dirt and paved roads) or go halfway. Meet at the West Rutland Price Chopper parking lot at 8 AM. Contact birding@rutlandcountyaudubon.org

March 27 (Tuesday) - Vermont Wildflowers: A Birdwatcher's Appreciation

April 24 (Tuesday) - There and Back Again: Migration Patterns of Golden-winged and Blue-winged Warblers in the Champlain Valley

Light level geolocators allow biologists to track birds on their migration journeys. Join Audubon Vermont's Mark LaBarr and Margaret Fowle along with the Nature Conservancy's Murray McHugh for a discussion on migration and wintering locations of Golden and Blue-winged warblers fitted with geolocators at the Helen S Buckner Reserve and across the Champlain Valley. Grace Congregational Church, Rutland, 7 PM.

May 5 (Saturday) - Vermont Green Up Day

Green Up Day is in its 48th year.org and as always RCAS will be at West Rutland Marsh to help tidy up one of our favorite birding spots. Meet at the West Rutland Town Hall at 9 AM. Bags provided. Bring gloves. Waterproof boots or old sneakers are recommended.
