June 20 (Thursday) - RCAS Board of Directors Meeting

Our meetings are open to all members. Leahy Conference Center, Rutland Regional Medical Center, Room CR A. 6:30 PM. Please check back for any changes in the meeting date or place. Contact birding@rutlandcountyaudubon.org.

June 22 (Saturday) - West Rutland Marsh Monitoring Walk

A monthly bird monitoring walk. To date 155 species, from Least Bittern to Northern Shrike, have been recorded at this Important Bird Area (IBA). Join us for the 3.7 mile loop around the marsh (dirt and paved roads) or go halfway. Meet at the marsh boardwalk on Marble Street at 7 AM. Contact birding@rutlandcountyaudubon.org.

June 25 (Tuesday) - Bird Walk at Poultney River & Rail Trail

Join RCAS and Slate Valley Trails for a slow-paced bird walk along the Poultney River & Rail Trail. About 3 1/2 hours, easy terrain. Meet at the D & H Rail Trail crossing on Main Street in Poultney at 7:30 AM. Bring water, bug spray, binoculars, cameras, etc. (if you use them). July 10 (Wednesday) - RCAS Annual Meeting and Potluck

Join us to celebrate another year of Rutland County Audubon. There will be a short business meeting, election of officers followed a member slide show. Bring a dish to share. Beverages and utensils provided. Proctor Library, 6 PM

July 13 (Saturday) - Live Bird Presentation

RCAS is sponsoring a live bird presentation (raptors and owls!) by Mike Clough of the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum. Join us at the Pittsford Rec Area (223 Recreation Area Rd) at 11 AM, rain or shine. Free!

RCAS will travel to the Buckner Preserve in West Haven for a morning of birding. Meet at the Shaw's parking lot in Fair Haven at 8:30 AM.
